During a two-year period the 42 container will be shipped to partner ports and partner events as a showcase. On its journey, onboard sensors continuously measure the conditions and environment inside and around the container. The container acts as a probe through maritime, port and hinterland processes. The collected data and insights helps to understand which challenges are ahead and what questions we have to ask ourselves.

Most of the applied technology is already being used at the Port of Rotterdam, as a foundation of the future digital port where autonomous ships can berth. Follow the container on its journey to find out more and get involved!
